February 2019 Market Statistics
Throughout February 2019, 588 units were sold for a total volume of $157,084,719 and a median price of $230,000. You’ll notice that the market is picking up compared to January, and the market is slowly shifting to become more of a buyer’s market. There were 949 new units listed over the course of February 2019, and that’s just a preview of what is to come starting in the warmer months.
Purchasing in March 2019
Mortgage rates have calmed down, as fixed-rate mortgages have dropped 0.6% since November 2018. All forecasts point to a solid, robust home purchasing season this spring. If you are preparing to buy a home, now is the time to get pre-approved for financing to ensure the smoothest possible purchasing process in March and April as the market heats up. This spring we expect to see excellent access to both new and older homes, so having your financing in order will help to increase your chances of having an offer expected and being able to act quickly.
